About Me.

I’ve been working in the fitness and wellbeing industry since 2006. In those early years I gained a wide range of qualifications and experience, but it was Pilates that truly changed the way I understood the body.

Growing up, my sports of choice were rugby and hockey, and I was far from flexible.Pilates was an eye opener. It showed me that strength didn’t have to be aggressive, that control could be powerful and that moving with intention could completely change how you feel in your body.

In 2009, I launched Habitual Fitness. A few years later, in 2012, I opened my own studio in Chorlton, now known as The Chorlton Health Hub, a space that brings together small wellbeing businesses, instructors and therapists who share a similar ethos around health and collaboration.

Over the years, my work has evolved. I have naturally shaped what I offer into something more sustainable and meaningful; Pilates, massage, habit coaching and sauna rituals. Each offering supports the others. Movement builds strength. Massage releases tension. Habit work creates structure. Sauna rituals provide space to reset. Together, they form a practical, balanced approach to long-term health.

I’ve always believed that feeling well shouldn’t require extremes. Most of the people I work with enjoy their careers and family life, but somewhere along the way their own wellbeing slips down the list. My role is to help bring it back into focus, in a way that feels realistic and manageable.

5 Things I Love About My Job

  • The calm after.
I love that moment when you stand up after class or get off the massage bed, and you just feel different, softer, taller, clearer.

  • The strength you didn’t realise you had.
Seeing you surprise yourself. Holding a plank longer than you thought, moving with more control, feeling more capable in your own body.

  • The honest conversations.
Talking about real life, busy schedules, stress, tension and figuring out what will actually work for you.

  • The structure that makes things click.
Helping you turn good intentions into habits that feel manageable instead of overwhelming.

  • The ripple effect.
Knowing that something we worked on together made your week easier, whether that’s less back pain, more confidence or simply a bit more headspace.

About Habitual Fitness.

Over the years, I’ve realised that real health isn’t built on one thing alone, it’s about how movement, recovery and mindset work together. That’s why I created three clear areas within my work: Move. Restore. Integrate. Together, they offer a balanced, realistic way to feel strong, capable and well in everyday life.

Move is where we build strength and confidence. Through Pilates, whether in studio, online, in a challenge or inside my membership, I help you develop deep core stability, improve posture and move with control. My classes are strong and focused, but always grounded in the principles of good form and breath. Movement becomes something that supports your body, not stresses it.

Restore is about releasing what your body is holding onto. Through deep, tailored massage, myofascial release and guided sauna rituals, I create space for tension to soften. This is where aches ease, shoulders drop and your nervous system gets a chance to settle. Strength is important, but so is recovery, calm and learning how to slow down.

Integrate is where change becomes sustainable. Through my habit courses, 1:1 coaching and My Health Notes blog, I support you in building small, realistic habits that fit your life. It’s not about extremes or quick fixes, it’s about structure, mindset and consistency. Because when healthy choices are woven into your routine, they last.

Together, they create a practical, thoughtful way to look after your body and mind, not just for now, but long term.
